Review: Another Expanse-novella, this one follows a girl living in a new world that has been made possible by the events in the Exanse-books preceding it. Whereas the other novellas have held their own somewhat, I didn’t think this one did. If anything the story could have been a bit longer, but as it is written I didn’t relate enough with anyone in it for any of the emotional events to pack much of a punch. Instead of a story this felt more like an introduction to a new element that has now been introduced into the Expanse-universe. An interesting element, sure, an element that does indeed make me wonder where the books will go next, but as a novella this story just didn’t grab me as much as I would have expected it to, given the rather emotional content of the story.
